留学生との会話（覚書）

Hi everyone, I'm Takaaki.

My friends call me Takaaki or Taka, and my close friends call me Billy. Well, I'm from Japan and my parents are Japanese. Maybe you will think that it is weird that Japanese is called Billy. Of course, it has a reason. When I have joined the club activity "スウィングジャズ研究会" since this spring, one of my seniors named me a foreign name, Bernstein. So I acted like that I have an international background in my family. To my surprise, my friends and the other seniors believed it. Anyway, please call me Takaaki, Taka or Billy. Either one is fine.

I love jazz. I never get tired of listening to jazz music every day from morning to night. I like the sense of rhythm and improvisation. When we play jazz on the drums, we don't know what's going to happen next. Due to this, I can get feeling of tension how I play, so every playing is thrilling moment.

In these days, I found new fun. I like to meet and make friend with someone, too. So when I get free time, I always go to the jazz bar to play jazz with strange players recently. Generally they are older than me, but it's a spice stimulating my campus life. Thank you.
